On Thursday, the Illinois House of Representative voted to raise the state minimum wage in Illinois to $15.00 per hour over a six year period. The bill passed on party line vote with no Republicans voting in favor of the measure. Representative Dan Swanson was among those that opposed the minimum wage hike.
